From Trauma to Empowerment

Healing is possible- at Any pace

For more than two decades, I’ve supported individuals, couples, and families through life’s hardest seasons. My work as an empowerment coach is rooted in patience, empathy, and a deep respect for your own timing. You don’t have to filter your story here. You don’t have to protect me. I believe in you—so much that you’re welcome to borrow my belief until yours grows strong again.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, our work together is body-based and experiential. Yes, we talk—and I listen fully—but you’ll also leave with tools and practices we explore together in real time. Healing isn’t something we only think about; it’s something you get to feel in your body.

She is wearing a white t-shirt, beige pants, a watch, and a ring, and has colorful tattoos on her left arm. She is seated on a fur-covered bench with pink curtains on either side, and a potted plant with red flowers is in the foreground. Behind her is a black wall with a dark painting and bookshelves.

What we do together

We work slowly and gently, because that’s how real healing happens. Using a somatic approach inspired by Somatic Experiencing®—the leading body-based method for trauma resolution—we focus on the nervous system rather than just the mind. Together we’ll reconnect you with your body and its wisdom, using all your senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and even your intuition—the “gut feeling” that trauma often muffles.

what to expect

Trauma lives in the body as much as in the mind. The polyvagal theory shows how our autonomic nervous system shifts between states of safety, fight-or-flight, or shutdown. Somatic healing works directly with these states, helping your system find its way back to balance and safety.

This is where somatic coaching differs from talk therapy: instead of analyzing every detail of the past, we track what’s happening in your body in the moment. I pay close attention to your nervous system throughout each session, adjusting as we go. You’re not handed a one-size-fits-all plan—your healing process is curated and responsive to you.

If you’re navigating PTSD, C-PTSD, hurts from your past or moments where you feel triggered in relationships, trauma healing in Kansas City is possible here. Through embodiment practices, integration work, and the principles of polyvagal theory, you’ll learn how to reconnect with your body, find safety in your system, and build genuine connection with yourself and others. Together, we’ll create a safe space where healing isn’t rushed, and each step honors your own rhythm and resilience.

I am also a survivor of trauma and the exact methods I will guide you through helped me heal. Years of conventional therapy helped but just could not get me over that hump. I could feel that there was so much more waiting for me on the other side but it felt inaccessible with the emotional scars of trauma weighing me down. Through Somatic practices, I have moved what was stuck. I can feel again and I am not scared of my emotions getting the better part of me. I can regulate them and stay present in my relationships even during hard things. I have been on your side of the couch, I have felt the fear of what might come up but also the deep desire to heal. I chose to walk into my healing journey and I can help you take those tiny, scared steps too. Let’s do it together- I’ve got you!

  • Sessions paced by you—not a preset timeline

  • Gentle sensory exercises to help you ground, regulate your nervous system, and move through stuck emotions

  • A compassionate, non-judgmental witness to your story

  • Tools to live fully embodied and discover who you are beneath trauma-driven behaviors

  • Support, encouragement, and celebration of each step forward

  • More than talk therapy—while we do talk and I listen deeply, every session includes skills and body-based exercises you can take with you and practice in daily life

  • I track your nervous system throughout each session, making real-time adjustments so your healing is curated just for you

  • This is not a cookie-cutter approach—your process is unique, and our work is guided moment to moment by your needs.
